History
Highland was founded in 1945 by an entrepreneurial couple who wanted to find a way to protect their car from the harsh northwestern Pennsylvania winters. This idea developed into the world’s first aftermarket splash guard.  

Highland Evolves
Decades later, Highland would evolve into a manufacturer, importer and distributor of bungee cords, ratchet and cambuckle tie downs, vehicle recovery straps, ropes, all weather floor mats, and splash guards, as well as various other cargo management and garage organization products.

Highland becomes the Industry leader
Highland is owned by Cequent Consumer Products, Inc., part of the Recreational Accessories business segment of TriMas Corporation and is sold at leading retailers nationwide. Highland has emerged as an industry leader, owing its market position to superior product development and innovative packaging ideas for the ever-demanding retailer and consumer.
